LAVENDER BLUE RECOMMENDS
"Gemma planned our wedding celebration at the end of September, only a year after I relocated to Scotland from NYC after my husband and I completed a looong and uncertain visa process. After which not only did I not have much time to plan a wedding, but to plan a wedding in a new, strange place where I was starting fresh with no friends to give me recommendations for vendors, and had no idea where to even begin to look. That's when I found Gemma, and we hired her to take the reigns of sourcing and booking our vendors, coordination on-the-day, and firming up the finishing touches. I couldn't possibly recommend the service she provided enough."
"On a personal level, going for a meeting and chatting with Gemma about our ideas for my wedding was just like sitting down and chatting with a good friend over a cup of coffee; bouncing ideas off each other, making a realistic plan and having the experience to make it happen - and at that point in time, that was exactly what I needed! Gemma was very easy to work with and talk to, and whenever I would say 'no' to perhaps a vendor suggestion, she took it in stride and was so accommodating - she'd just quickly move on to continue her search for another option."
"There were also several last minute hiccups (at no fault of her own) but that Gemma expertly navigated - like my first choice of cake maker not communicating quickly enough with me or being available enough for my liking during the booking process. So as soon as I made the decision to move on, she effortlessly and without a quip found us another great cake maker who got us booked in and deposit taken in just days, which set our minds at ease."
"When I realised I wasn't finding my own favour search very easy (which was something I originally wanted to accomplish on my own) Gemma was only a quick text message away before she was tucked in to Etsy, NOTHS, Amazon and other sources, sending me a bunch of unique favour suggestions that perfectly matched along with the theme of our wedding. She even helped me find a great bra! I didn't know where to go in Scotland for a wedding bra. She did! After our meeting one day, she literally walked me to the best place for a bra, and got me booked in for an appointment then and there. What more could a bride ask for?"
"On the day, well for me that was all a blur! But Gemma was in constant contact with the venue and their own coordinator, checked on how the decorations were getting set up, ensured the flowers were delivered to the right place and came over to where we were getting ready to make sure everything was working out well, and to let me and my maids know when the time was right to leave for the venue. During the wedding she kept time and kept me updated on where we were at in the schedule, and professionally ensured that all was well with the venue's side of things."
"Finally I thought Gemma showed outstanding discretion and very professionally and sensitively handled the fact several of our wedding guests were disabled and needed the appropriate accommodations, as well as my husband who is disabled. She tuned right into our needs as a mixed-ability couple, and I felt that at certain points where it was needed, she would keep the venue and vendors on their toes to ensure they were making all of the necessary accommodations for both my husband, and our guests."
"Honestly, I would definitely not have been able to plan such a successful day on my own with the schedule I had and the resources I didn't - without Gemma's help to shoulder the stress and save us SO much time. She was excellent and we couldn't thank Lavender Blue enough for our incredibly special day."
